Description:
Ardentiella sp. “Lava” is a striking isopod known for its fiery appearance, typically showing deep dark tones mixed with warm red, orange, or ember-like highlights. This creates a “molten lava” visual effect, making it a very attractive species in advanced collections.
Although it is considered one of the more commonly seen species within the Ardentiella group, it is still classified as very high-end due to its sensitivity and demanding care requirements.
This species stays small to medium in size and requires stable, carefully controlled conditions. It prefers consistent humidity with good airflow and a mature bioactive setup to maintain long-term health. It is sensitive during acclimation and does not tolerate unstable environments well.
Once established, it becomes a strong display species, valued for its vivid coloration, natural fire-like patterning, and high-end collector appeal.
