Description:
Ardentiella sp. “Phoenix” is a rare and highly striking isopod known for its bold yellow and black coloration only, with no red tones. The strong contrast between bright yellow and deep black gives it a sharp, warning-style appearance, making it one of the most eye-catching Ardentiella species in the hobby.
This species grows to a small to medium size and requires very stable, carefully controlled conditions. It prefers consistently high humidity with good airflow and a mature bioactive setup to maintain long-term health. It is sensitive during acclimation and does not tolerate unstable environments well.
Once established, it becomes a flagship collector species, valued for its clean yellow-black contrast, rarity, and strong high-end appeal among advanced keepers.
