Description:
Armadillidium maculatum “Zebra” is one of the most recognizable isopods in the hobby, famous for its bold black-and-white striped pattern that resembles a zebra. Its strong contrast and active behavior make it a very popular display species for both beginners and experienced keepers.

This species stays small to medium in size and is relatively easy to care for, making it suitable for beginners. It prefers moderate humidity with good ventilation and a clear moisture gradient rather than overly wet conditions.

Once established, it becomes a fast and reliable breeder, making it an excellent mid–low tier species for bioactive setups, display enclosures, and starter collections.
