Description:
Armadillidium frontirostre is a hardy European isopod commonly known in the hobby as “Fronti.” It has a classic pill-bug shape with a smooth, compact body and natural grey to brown coloration, giving it a simple and clean wild-type appearance.
This species grows to a small to medium size and is relatively easy to care for. It performs best in a well-ventilated enclosure with a clear dry-to-moist gradient, where the dry side is slightly more dominant. It is quite tolerant but still benefits from stable conditions and good airflow.
Once established, it becomes a fast and reliable breeder, making it a solid low-tier species for beginners, cleanup crews, and natural bioactive setups.
