Description:
Ardentiella sp. “Black Hole” is a popular foundational species within the Ardentiella group, often considered one of the “base line” high-end forms in the hobby. It is known for its deep dark body coloration, usually ranging from black to very dark grey, sometimes with subtle sheen under light, giving it a “void-like” appearance.
This species stays small to medium in size and requires stable, carefully controlled conditions. It prefers consistent humidity with good airflow and a mature bioactive setup to maintain long-term health and breeding success. It is moderately sensitive during acclimation and does not tolerate unstable environments well.
Once established, it becomes a reliable breeder within the Ardentiella group, valued for its strong dark coloration, stable genetics line, and importance as a reference species for many higher-grade color morphs.
