Description:
Armadillidium vulgare “Magic Potion” is one of the most popular and visually striking color morphs of A. vulgare, known for its creamy white body decorated with bold yellow and dark speckled markings. The pattern often looks like “sprinkled magic dust,” which is where its hobby name comes from.
This species grows to a small to medium size and is very hardy once established. It adapts well to a wide range of conditions and prefers a well-ventilated enclosure with a clear dry-to-moist gradient. It is tolerant and beginner-friendly compared to many other ornamental isopods.
Once established, it becomes a fast and reliable breeder, making it a strong mid-tier species for both display and bioactive cleanup setups.
