Description:
Merulanella sp. “Scarlet” is one of the most popular and highly sought-after Merulanella species from Vietnam, well known for its intense bright red to scarlet coloration. Its vivid, solid red appearance makes it one of the most visually striking isopods in the hobby, especially under natural lighting.

This species grows to a small to medium size and requires very stable, carefully controlled conditions. It prefers consistently higher humidity with good airflow and a mature bioactive setup to maintain long-term health. It is sensitive during acclimation and does not tolerate unstable environments well.

Once established, it becomes a flagship collector species, valued for its extreme coloration, strong popularity in Vietnam, and high-end demand among advanced keepers.
