Description:
Porcellio sevilla is a large European Porcellio species known for its elongated body and strong, active movement. It is often appreciated for its impressive size compared to many other hobby isopods, making it a standout in display colonies and bioactive setups.
This species grows relatively large and thrives best in a well-ventilated enclosure with a clear dry-to-moist gradient, where the dry side is more dominant. Good airflow is essential, as it does not tolerate overly wet or stagnant conditions.
Once established, it becomes a fast and reliable breeder, making it a solid mid-tier species valued for its size, activity level, and usefulness in bioactive clean-up crews.
